ChairDr. Debrah Wirtzfeld is a seasoned executive coach, author, and sought after keynote speaker around career transitions. Her passion is in assisting clients in navigating professional transitions, whether this be up (promotion), over (to another organization or a second career), or out (retirement). As a facilitator in Crucial Conversations, she has worked extensively to assist clients in holding difficult conversations and enhancing their impact.

Vice Chair/TreasurerDr. Malcolm Ogborn is a retired pediatrician and pediatric nephrologist who has held senior leadership positions academic, clinical and physician association organizations. He has been a nationally funded clinical and basic science researcher. He has extensive board experience in healthcare foundations and community organizations. He was in the inaugural cohort of physicians awarded the Canadian Certified Physician Executive credential. He now works exclusively in coaching and leadership development of healthcare personnel, particularly physicians as The Optimistic Doc.

GovernanceVania Sakelaris is a seasoned executive and the founder of VAS & Associates Inc. a
management consulting firm which provides customized advisory, coaching and training services to corporate executives, their boards, and their teams building on her 25+ year career. As a solutions catalyst, Vania has supported hundreds of individuals globally through impactful change and growth. Vania has been consistently recognized as a respected, trusted, and strategic senior leader. Her portfolio includes a decade as CEO of large healthcare organizations in Ontario in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. |

Dr. Nancy Merrow is a Certified Executive Coach with a career in senior medical leader roles, having
served as Chief of Department, Chief of Staff and VP Medical with experience at small, medium and large sized community hospitals. Nancy is a Family Physician by training, with a focus in Palliative Medicine over many years. Nancy is recognized as a mentor and a role model among her peers and trainees, and constantly acts to learn and grow with them. Known for her direct approach and compassionate nature, Nancy’s current career focus is on physician success, and the advancement of medical practitioners in leadership roles. |
Education/Best Practices in Coaching
Ms. Tunde Gondocz is Senior Advisor for Learning at the Canadian Medical Protective Association's Safe Medical Learning Department. She provides advice and counsel on the development and evaluation of educational initiatives and collaborations. She’s been with the CMPA for over 17 years but has additional experience with physician learners through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. It is with the RCPSC where her love of physician education began with the development of the MOCOMP, and subsequent, MOC program.

Strategic PlanningDr. Doina Lupea has recently retired as Senior Director at the Physician Health Program, Ontario Medical Association. She is a clinician and coach experienced in health services management and research administration, with a deep understanding of the health care system. She has strong leadership experience developing and managing complex programs in a dynamic environment with multi-stakeholders involved, a sophisticated relationship builder, very personable, persuasive and determined, who makes things happen.
